1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most advanced 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop cleaners available on the market today. It comes with an elegant self-emptying Clean Base that can handle up to two full mopping cycles. It is even designed to look like a small table. It's also the sole robot mop we've tested that comes with a built-in water reservoir that automatically cleans and refills the cleaning pads after each mopping and vacuum cycle.
The mopping arm is placed on top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and it begins to scrub. It is able to move slowly and with care over surfaces so it doesn't accidentally splash wet spills or mud on carpeted areas. It does a great job of staying out of the path of furniture, cords, and other obstacles.
It's smarter than most robot vacuums due to the iRobot Home app, which allows you to modify your cleaner's settings and prioritize rooms based on dirtiness setting cleaning times and schedules and much more. The app comes with precise maps of your home with seasonal suggestions, custom cleaning routines as well as smart home integrations that are intuitive.

Its advanced mopping functionality includes dual spinning pads with electronically controlled water and a "True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System" that ensures thorough cleaning of all floor edges.
In terms of navigation In terms of navigation, the M12 makes use of LiDAR, IR, and 3D structured light to avoid obstacles. The sensors are capable of finding larger objects, like HVAC vents, and furniture. However, they struggle with smaller objects, like cables and rags that are small, which could cause the robot to miss certain spots.
The M12's built-in inclinometer enables it to detect and navigate stairs. It can also be programmed to return to its OMNI station to wash and dry mop brushes and replenish its water tanks. When the batteries are depleted it can OMNI station can even automatically empty the bin of dust and clean itself.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra robot cleaner is at the cutting edge of robotic cleaning. It packs a lot of features in a tiny package. The only noises are the occasional low hum of its motor, and short intervals of sucking during cleaning. Its navigation system, which uses cameras, 3D structured lights, multiple lasers and a 3D-structured light to identify and avoid obstructions and obstacles, is impressive. This assists in helping the X40 Ultra receive one of the top scores in our assessments of obstacles to avoid.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be easy for users. The gunmetal base station automatically fills up its own tank with clean water, empties the dustbin into a smaller container and ishes and drys its own mop pads between cleaning sessions. It also has an advanced feature set that allows it to switch between rugs and hard, effectively remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, and clear high thresholds in rooms.
The S1 Pro's navigation and mapping capabilities are excellent, with the dToF LiDAR system in the internal unit allowing it to maintain the appearance of a slim profile while providing top-quality objects avoidance. It can drive close to walls without crashing, and avoids steps, and also raises its mop automatically when driving over rugs or short-pile carpets. However, it struggled with longer-pile carpets and large, thick messes of dried-on debris.
Like all robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box, and requires only an initial mapping session to learn its way around your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can add or join rooms as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want the robot to be able to touch.
The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotary mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it a good option for homes with both types of flooring, but its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) can make it less flexible than other robots that allow you to create your own solutions.
